A musician with a long involvement with North Indian classical vocal and Tabla, he has also had experience of African high life music having spent some years with Zairean (DRC) bands - Malaika and Intelligencia Britanica.
However while these genres have influenced his composition to a greater or lesser degree, he has wrought his own style and made his music his own.
